The Cost of Staying at Home vs. Senior Living

Deciding to move into a senior living community is a significant choice, and it’s only natural to consider whether staying at home might be more cost-effective. However, when you factor in expenses like rent or mortgage, homeowner’s insurance and taxes, utilities, transportation, groceries, and other household costs, staying at home might actually be more expensive than expected.
