Sunny Vista Earns AHCA Bronze Award for Commitment to Quality
The Sunny Vista Living Center is proud to announce that it has earned the 2026 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award through the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) National Quality Award Program. This national recognition honors long-term and post-acute care providers who demonstrate an ongoing commitment to improving the quality of care and services they provide.
For more than a century, Sunny Vista has proudly served older adults and families throughout Colorado Springs. While much has changed since opening its doors in 1911, our mission, “to provide the care, support, and spaces for older adults to live life on their own terms,” continues to guide everything we do.

Sunny Vista was one of only 16 senior care providers in Colorado to win the 2026 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award. The Bronze Award is the first of three levels in the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program and is based on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework, a nationally recognized leadership and performance framework that helps organizations evaluate how they operate, strengthen leadership, and continuously improve.
Most families will never see the application or evaluation process behind the award, but they experience its impact every day through compassionate care, meaningful relationships, and a community focused on continually enhancing the resident experience.
