“I am extremely proud of the family that we have created at Sunny Vista. Creating a team is one thing, but growing that team into a family is something special, and we don’t take it lightly. We are honored to be the recipients of the World’s Best Culture Certification for the third year in a row!”
- Stephen Downs, Executive Director
What Is The World’s Best Culture Certification?
Drive’s World’s Best Culture Certification recognizes senior living organizations and healthcare providers that demonstrate exceptional workplace cultures. The certification is based on the Culture Values Assessment developed by the Barrett Values Centre, a globally recognized tool for measuring organizational culture and values alignment.
Organizations such as Mastercard, Coca-Cola, Prudential, and Volvo have utilized this assessment to better understand and strengthen their workplace environments. With more than 25 years of data and four million assessments in its database, Barrett Values Centre provides a trusted benchmark for evaluating organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
Drive Culture Outcomes, a consulting firm focused on helping senior living organizations improve workplace culture, uses this assessment to identify communities that demonstrate strong alignment of values and employee engagement.
How Does Sunny Vista Gather Team Member Feedback?
The Culture Values Assessment allows team members to share their personal values, the current values of the workplace, and the values they would like to see reflected in their ideal work environment.
The responses are analyzed to calculate a culture score that measures how closely these values align throughout the organization. At Sunny Vista, this feedback helps guide ongoing efforts to strengthen workplace relationships, support team members, and build upon the values that make the community such a special place to live and work.
The assessment also provides valuable insight into organizational strengths and opportunities for growth, helping leaders make informed decisions that support both team members and residents.
What Culture Score Did Sunny Vista Earn?
To receive World’s Best Culture Certification, organizations must achieve a minimum score of 70 on the Culture Values Assessment.
This year, Sunny Vista earned an impressive culture score of 83, significantly exceeding the certification benchmark and demonstrating the strength of the community’s workplace culture.
For additional perspective:
- Global average culture score: 55
- Healthcare industry average: 50
- Drive senior living community average: 64
- Sunny Vista culture score: 83

These results place Sunny Vista well above both industry and global benchmarks, reinforcing the community’s commitment to creating a positive and supportive work environment.
Through feedback shared by team members, Sunny Vista identified caring, accountability, and compassion as three of the values that continue to shape the community’s culture. These values guide daily interactions and help create an environment where team members feel appreciated and empowered to do their best work.
Why Does Workplace Culture Matter?
A strong workplace culture impacts more than employee satisfaction. Research continues to show a meaningful connection between workplace engagement and the quality of service provided within senior living communities.
When team members feel supported, connected, and valued, they are better equipped to build meaningful relationships, provide exceptional service, and contribute to a positive resident experience.
Earning World’s Best Culture Certification for a third consecutive year reflects Sunny Vista’s commitment to creating an environment where both team members and residents can thrive.
“I have had the privilege of partnering with Christian Living Communities for many years, and what they have built is nothing short of extraordinary. Earning the World’s Best Culture is the result of leaders who show up every single day committed to their people. CLC is, without question, one of the finest organizations in senior living, and this recognition reflects exactly who they are.”
- Denise Boudreau, Founder & President of Drive
