Stopping the Spread of COVID-19 in Senior Living Communities

We are now implementing new federal directives aimed at stopping the spread of COVID-19 in senior living communities. The Centers for Medicare/Medicare Services (CMS) has determined that if the county we operate in or a county next to where we operate has a positive case of COVID-19 we MUST limit visitors to the assisted living and memory support neighborhoods within our community.

What does this mean for The Retreat at Sunny Vista? It means as the virus progresses we are committed to keeping residents safe and will follow the federal directives. Residents in assisted living and memory support neighborhoods will be allowed visitors for essential needs only and visits must be brief. All visitors will complete our screening protocol, a few questions about your current health, and will need to wash their hands to enter.

We know this can be discouraging for families of assisted living and memory support residents.  However, we know this is the only proven way to stop the spread of the virus.  In the meantime, we are happy to forward a note or card to a resident and will help them connect with loved ones via technology like Skype or FaceTime.
Our team is committed to doing all that we can to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone who lives and works in the community.
